Things are pretty dark around the Los Angeles Lakers right now, but despite all that negativity, there have been a few brights spots of late. Today’s podcasts feature a debut episode and insight into Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram recovering from some complicated and serious injuries.
Editor’s Note: These were recorded before the Andre Ingram / Lakers dysfunction news, which will be addressed in full on tomorrow’s shows)
I Love Basketball
The Lakers might be on a five-game losing streak, but there’s still plenty to enjoy in the inaugural episode of “I Love Basketball.” Sasha and Sabreena talk about how much fun they are having watching the South Bay Lakers finally get some well-deserved NBA minutes, especially when they share the floor with LeBron James.
Then, they shared some of their favorite moments from the past few games of Moe Wagner, Alex Caruso, and Johnathan Williams. Spoiler alert: these involve lots and lots of dunks.

Locked on Lakers
Typically, Monday episodes are spent answering your guys’ iTunes questions. Given the amount of injury news (and how complicated these injuries are), I made an executive decision and brought someone on who actually knows what she’s talking about.
Dr. Jennifer Irwin PT, DPT (aka my wife) came on the show today to discuss Brandon Ingram’s scary situation and how the Lakers are approaching Lonzo Ball’s ankle sprain. Is Ingram’s blood clot the same kind of issue that led to the retirements of Chris Bosh and Mirza Teletovic? Is Ball better off having surgery now so as to be 100 percent ready come next season? Is In N Out better than Whataburger? Listen to find out.
After a couple segments of injury talk, I did open up the mailbag to get to some other topics you wanted discussed. In it, I get to the organizational flaws in how the Lakers handle injury information, and what kind of speculation that opens them up to.
Everything can be listened to below. Make sure to subscribe on iTunes, where you can also leave questions in the form of a five-star review to guarantee your topic makes the show.
