Real Madrid are reportedly set to include Spanish defender Jesus Vallejo in an offer for Serbian forward Luka Jovic, a player Barcelona are already in the hunt for.
Jovic has been one of the most dangerous and form players in Europe so far this season, thus it’s no surprise to hear the clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona are in pursuit of the forward.
According to Don Balon, Barca are ready to fork out as much as €50M to bring the forward to the Nou Camp, whilst Real are willing to pay €60M for the player, as well as include Vallejo in a deal for the 21-year-old.
So far this year, Jovic has managed to clock up a record of 19 goals and four assists in 27 appearances in all competitions, a goal tally that not many other players in Europe can top.
Both Real and Barca are in dire need of new strikers given the decline of Karim Benzema and Luis Suarez in recent years.
Benzema has been a shadow of his former self so far this year despite a recent purple patch in form, whilst Suarez looks nowhere near like the player he looked when he first joined the club back in 2014.
Real seem determined to beat Barcelona to the signing of forward Jovic
If Real do beat Barca to the signing of Jovic, it’ll be a real boost for the club, as not only will they be getting their hands on one of the brightest attacking talents in Europe, but also beating their arch rivals to a signing in the process.
