The prayers of Reds fans have been answered, with Moses Sorovi and Hamish Stewart to team up in the halves against the Waratahs.
Sorovi swaps spots with Ben Lucas while Jono Lance has been pushed back to fullback to accommodate Stewart’s shift, a pair of changes Queensland fans have long been crying out for.
Lucas and Lance kicked possession away with inane regularity against the Highlanders and one would hope this young halves pairing throw some more caution to the wind against NSW.
“It’s a great opportunity for Moses to get his first start,” coach Brad Thorn said.
“He’s an exciting young prospect and we felt he deserved the chance to show what he can do from the kick off.“We also felt it was the right time to give Hamish another opportunity in the starting flyhalf jersey.
“It’s only his second start at flyhalf. He enjoyed his experience against the Lions and this is another chance in the 10 jersey.”
There is just one change to the forward pack, with Kane Douglas returning to the starting XV in place of Harry Hockings, who will come off the bench.
Alex Mafi also returns to the 23, with Andrew Ready sent back to club rugby as a result.
Jayden Ngamanu will have his chance to add some late impact, taking the bench spot of Aidan Toua.
