British designer Osman Yousefzada set himself quite the challenge: creating
the perfect pair of trousers. Together with the Woolmark Company and
premium department store Harvey Nichols, the designer created capsule
collection of trousers, designed to flatter and enhance its wearer’s legs
and derriere.

“When designing my main objective is always to flatter the female form and
to enhance it and I have always felt that a great trouser cut can really do
wonders and completely transform a woman’s look,” said Yousefzada on the
capsule collection. “Working with Harvey Nichols on this exciting project
has allowed me the opportunity to delve into my archives to identify the
best-loved styles, to create the essential trousers capsule. I am delighted
to be bringing the ‘perfect five’ to the Harvey Nichols customer.”

Cleverly named ‘Perfect Five,’ the collection consists of five trousers
which have been renamed after women he admires. Best known for his exact
tailoring skills, Yousefzada looked through his brand’s archives for
inspiration for the trouser collection. There is the straight-legged
Lauren, based on Autumn-Winter 2011; the high-waisted, slim and cropped
Taylor, based on pre-Spring-Summer 2014; the classic culottes Lupita, from
pre-Spring-Summer 2015, the loose, wide-legged Bianca, from Autumn-Winter
2013; and the palazzo pant Paloma, which was especially designed for the
capsule collection.

Harvey Nichols’s buying director, Anita Barr, added: “We are delighted to
be working exclusively with Osman on this project and to be able to offer
our customers the best edit of trousers for the season ahead. We know the
Harvey Nichols woman is looking for directional styles that offer both
comfort and effortless style; to be working with the master of both is
really exciting for our brand.”

The exclusive collection is currently available in store and online, with
prices ranging between 295 pounds and 495 pounds.
