The death toll due to flood in Bihar rose to 123 on Wednesday after 17 people lost their lives in the 12 severely affected districts. In past two days, heavy rainfall has been witnessed which has further worsened the situation in the affected districts. The state of Assam is also reeling under heavy flood situation, killing more than 75 people and displacing lakhs.
Sitamarhi is the worst affected district in Bihar and according to the state disaster management department, the death toll in the district has increased from 27 to 37,PTI reported.
