Gurugram Police have booked at least 15 people for assault after a video of a mob attack on a Muslim family in Bhondsi went viral on Friday. The incident happened on Thursday, on the day of Holi, after an argument over playing cricket turned into a brawl.
Mohammad Dilshad, one of the youths who was attacked in a police complaint said that it all began while he and his cousins were playing cricket near their home.
A few men on bikes, who were said to be drunk confronted them and asked them to stop playing cricket. After they ignored them and continued playing cricket, the men went away and came back with a mob of nearly 40 people who went on a rampage.
