Joey Thompson of Totino-Grace has committed to wrestling for South Dakota State University following his upcoming senior season.
Thompson is a three-time state placewinner and two-time state champion. He won the Class AA 113-pound title in 2019 as a junior. He placed first at 106 pounds as a sophomore in Class AAA wrestling for Maple Grove. As a freshman, Thompson placed fifth at 106 pounds.
Thompson is projected to wrestle at 125 pounds for the Jackrabbits.
