It has been a while since Nia Jax has appeared on WWE programming and little information on her current status has been provided. Jax did not wrestle at SummerSlam this year and has also missed Raw over the past few weeks. In an update recently provided by PWInsider, Jax has been missing in action due to a couple of nagging injuries that she has been dealing with. Jax is reportedly back in Orlando, Florida training at the Performance Center while rehabbing and undergoing physical therapy for a leg injury. Jax won the Raw Women’s Championship earlier this year and lost it to Alexa Bliss this past summer before leaving the ring. There is currently no word on when Jax is expected to return to competition.
WWE is clearly loading up their Super Show-Down event at the moment as more and more matches continue to be announced for the show seemingly every day. A SmackDown Tag Team Championship match and a tag team match featuring Asuka & Naomi wrestling The IIconics was announced by the company yesterday, and one more match has just been revealed. It has now been confirmed that the SmackDown Women’s Championship will be defended during the event. Just weeks after clashing for the title at Hell in a Cell, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair will be facing each other once again during WWE’s massive show in Melbourne, Australia. It all takes place on October 6th and it will be airing live on the WWE Network.
In addition to their clash at @WWE #HIAC, @MsCharlotteWWE and @BeckyLynchWWE will do battle for the #SDLive #WomensTitle at #WWESSD in Melbourne, Australia! https://t.co/bsMUVM5rpb

Some fans of WWE may be familiar with a former performer in the women’s division known as Rosa Mendes. She worked for the company for over ten years as a wrestler and as a member of the Total Divas cast until she announced her departure from the company and retirement from wrestling last February. According to PWInsider, Mendes recently had to undergo surgery to repair a torn ACL and meniscus. She had the surgery yesterday in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mendes returned to the ring and plans on competing on the independent circuit once her injury has fully healed up. Mendes recently uploaded a photo of herself on Instagram showing that she is wearing protective casts and using crutches.
