MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Two of the best high school wrestling coaches in Minnesota history will be joining forces this fall.
Former Apple Valley co-coach Jim Jackson, who won 14 team state titles at Apple Valley, told WCCO he is joining the staff at Eden Prairie this fall as associate head coach. He joins EP head coach Scot Davis, who won two state titles at Owatonna and is regarded by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as the nation’s all-time high school wins leader.
Jackson’s Apple Valley teams twice finished the season ranked No. 1 in the nation, in both 2010 and 2011. After compiling a 619-26-3 record at Apple Valley, he stepped down in 2012 to spend more time with his family.
