‘Mania Plans for Braun Strowman & Kevin Owens, Mahal on Fastlane

WrestleMania 34 is just around the corner, so a lot of fans have been speculating what the card for the event will look like this year. However, we now have word on plans for two different superstars at the show. According to the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it looks like Raw Superstar Braun Strowman will be challenging The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania. Both men will be competing in the Elimination Chamber match at the pay-per-view of the same name this Sunday, so it seems like the seeds for a feud between the two will be planted during that match if this does indeed turn out to be the direction that the company is headed in with Strowman.
Another match that the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has named for WrestleMania this April is Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn. The two have been best friends for a while now on Smackdown, but fans have believed it is only a matter before the end up facing each other once again. The report mentions that the two will likely not be splitting up before their Fatal 5-Way match at Fastlane. The end of their partnership will probably arrive during the match or on Smackdown in the following weeks. Zayn and Owens have already had some impressive matches in WWE, but those two may get the chance to have another one on “The Grandest Stage of Them All” for the first time ever. No word on whether or not Shane McMahon or Daniel Bryan are expected to be involved in the match.
One of the title matches announced for Smackdown’s upcoming Fastlane pay-per-view is a match which will see Bobby Roode defend the United States Championship against Randy Orton. There is still a few more episodes of Smackdown to go before it is time for Fastlane, so that means that changes to the match will likely be made very soon. Cageside Seats reports that WWE will likely be adding Jinder Mahal to the United States Championship match, thus turning it into a Triple Threat match. Roode, Orton, and Mahal have all been fighting with each other on WWE television lately, and it is becoming increasingly more likely that Mahal will find his way into the title match.
