Raw’s 25th anniversary show arrives at last tonight at 8pm ET on the USA Network. The show is packed with legends and current members of both WWE brands. The show is already promising to be a very memorable one as it takes place in the Barclays Center and the Manhattan Center (the site of the very first episode of Raw). As such, it’s no surprise to learn that WWE is reportedly filming all of the festivities taking place tonight for a future documentary that will air on the WWE Network. PWInsider has reported that the material will be used for a new WWE 24 special, and footage featuring the likes of Sean Waltman and The Undertaker will be used for the special.
Cageside Seats has reported on two angles that are planned to take place during tonight’s event. It is being reported that an angle setting up John Cena vs. The Undertaker will be taking place tonight in some form. Cena and “The Deadman” will reportedly be facing off at WrestleMania this April. The same report has also mentioned that, much like the Ascension a few years ago, The Revival will likely be beaten down by the legends during tonight’s show. This coincides with the comments that The Revival recently made about the tag team scene in wrestling at the moment. Both of these angles and more are expected to take place later on tonight.
Despite her recent personal issues, WWE Hall of Famer Sunny is often cited as one of the true defining “WWE Divas”. While she has been a controversial figure for years now, Sunny received backlash after she recently decided to voice her opinions on WWE’s modern women’s division on her Facebook account. She took a shot at Bayley and recent WWE signee Candice LeRae during her tirade. ”[LeRae] was signed to ‘developmental’ right? Which means she’s too ugly to ever make the big show. Unless they give the girl some MAJOR plastic surgery. IE Bayley. Sorry. Had to be said.” Sunny said. Neither Bayley nor LeRae have responded to Sunny’s recent outbursts at the moment.
