The Great Khali was not at Smackdown after Battleground and he is not scheduled for any WWE shows moving forward, so as far as his status with WWE is concerned that still remains unclear.
However, since WWE is still trying to get Jinder Mahal over in India with the ultimate goal being to increase business, Khali could be used in that capacity as he is a much bigger star than Jinder Mahal and a legitimate well-known star in that country.
