WWE Hall of Farmer Kurt Angle has officially announced his intention to retire from professional wrestling, following a two-decade career as one of the greatest athletes to ever step inside the squared circle.
The announcement was made during an emotional segment on WWE RAW this Monday night in the Olympic gold medalist’s hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. Angle revealed that his final match in a wrestling ring will come in just four weeks time, on the grandest stage of them all at WrestleMania 35.
While a final opponent for Angle has yet to be announced, the incredible 12-time world champion was able to have one last match in Pittsburgh, scoring a solid victory over RAW Superstar Apollo Crews.
