Mustafa Ali is back in WWE. The SmackDown Superstar came back at a live event on March 2 in a losing effort against Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship. The fact that Ali worked a match means that he’s been medically cleared by WWE.
Ali went out with an injury recently, which opened the door for Kofi Kingston to join The Elimination Chamber match on February 17.
Kingston is now enjoying a new singles run on SmackDown Live, which was taking him to another WWE title match with Bryan at Fastlane. But Vince McMahon took that opportunity way from Kofi, leading many fans to believe that Kingston will get a real shot at WrestleMania 35.
But where does this leave Mustafa Ali? The former 205 Live Superstar was in a prime spot before his injury and seemed to be on his way up the ladder. Will he return to the same spot, or will he have to start back at the bottom once again?
The fact that he’s back in action is a good thing and his presence on SmackDown Live is good for the blue brand. He’s a fresh face, as well as an explosive talent in the ring. Many fans feel that Ali is an integral part of WWE’s future and that future may very well be set to begin now that he’s back.
