Nigerian international striker Terem Moffi (23) has joined Ineos-owned OGC Nice from Lorient, the clubs have announced. Ligue 1’s second-best goalscorer this season has put pen to paper with Les Aiglons over a five-and-a-half year deal this Tuesday. The Super Eagle, a fast and powerful striker as well as a deft finisher, will wear the #9 jersey with the Didier Digard-led side. Moffi will be available for selection this Sunday evening as Nice take on third-placed Marseille for high-stakes Ligue 1 game.

The deal between the Nice and Lorient is not a straight transfer but a mandatory, paid loan of €2.5m with a €22.5m (plus €5m bonus) obligation to buy the Nigerian international striker. Lorient have also secured a 15% percentage in any future sale. With Lorient, Moffi scored 35 goals in all 90 appearances. This season, only PSG’s French international striker Kylian Mbappe (24) scored more goals than him.
