Angers FCO have completed the signing of Senegalese defender Elhadji Pape Diaw from Polish Ekstraklasa side Korona Kielce.
The 24-year-old, who moves to the Stade Raymond Kopa for an undisclosed fee, arrives after playing for two years in Poland – where he scored two goals in 20 league matches to date this season – having had a brief spell in Belgium and four years in his native Senegal previously.
Diaw’s impressive performances this season have not only earned him a move to Angers – 15th in Ligue 1 currently – but a senior call-up to the Senegal national side before their March African Nations Cup qualifier against Madagascar.
The Dakar-born defender has signed a contract until 2021 and will wear the no. 27 shirt.
