Speaking on Téléfoot this morning, PSG central defender and French international Presnel Kimpembe mounted an impassioned defence of his recent performances, which pundits have been highly critical of.
“Doubt myself? No, I am someone who is very confident, even since I was young, I have been here to learn and sometimes you have to go through moments like this. Have things changed since the World Cup? I don’t care what people say about me, it is not my problem! So long as my mothers has not said that I have changed, for me, I will not have changed and that is the most important thing. Everything is going well, I know that, mentally, I am someone strong and so I do not have any worries on that side of things. Rumours and what is said about me, is one thing, I am above it.”
