Arsenal scout Gilles Grimandi revealed in today’s L’Équipe that the Premier League club came close to signing French winger Florian Thauvin in 2013 from SC Bastia.
“Arsenal were onto him when he was playing for SC Bastia, but things dragged out at the time. Both sides had different understandings regarding a fee. Today, at Arsenal, he would play.”
