According to multiple French press reports this morning, Marseille last night had engaged in talks with Stoke for the possible signing of Nigerian striker Peter Odemwingie.
BothLa ProvenceandL’Équipe concede that the player is an option, but suggest that OM have yet to make a final decision on his case.
The latter publication also talks about positive negotiations with an international playing in the Premier League.
Get French Football Newscan reveal that the individual in question is likely to be Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher. Talks are said to have occurred last night between all three parties about a possible loan deal until the end of the season, with Fletcher having been very interested in the project. Mark McKay is apparently behind this possible deal as well.
