Buckingham Palace rarely steps in to fight off the rumor mill, but perhaps their defense in this case was warranted, because just hours prior to shutting down The Sun’s story, Vanity Fair reported that the Duchess of Sussex believes that the British press “is out to get her.”
“She feels to a degree the British press is out to get her and while she’s aware of the news and what’s going on, she tries her best not to read all the stories about her,” a source told the magazine’s royal correspondent Katie Nicholl.
“Meghan is a believer in karma and she doesn’t want to sit there reading negative online stories and comments about herself,” the source explained. Hopefully the Palace’s denial will officially put these rumors to rest.
