In a video widely circulated in social media, an IPS is seen arguing with a union minister near Sabarimala temple telling them that law is above all. The 2011 batch IPS officer Yathish Chandra become famous when he stopped Pon Radhakrishnan, the junior finance minister at the centre which he reached the Nilakkal base camp near the temple with a group of BJP workers on Wednesday.
The face-off has been widely circulated and the minister is seen asking Chandra for thereason why the private vehicles aren’t allowed. Chandra, the Thrissur district SP, says, “I’ll explain it to you, due to recent floods…”
