Notes: Tiger Woods returns to Match Play for the first time since 2013. This will be his first time competing when it was not single elimination. … Woods is the only three-time winner of Match Play. … Sixteen groups of four players compete Wednesday through Friday, with the winner of each group advancing to single elimination on the weekend. … In the four years of round-robin play, the only championship match to go all 18 holes was in 2017, when Dustin Johnson defeated Jon Rahm, 1-up. … Rickie Fowler and Adam Scott are the only eligible players not playing Match Play. … Charles Howell III, Bubba Watson and Alex Noren are the only players to advance out of their groups the last two years. … The 10 players who have never competed in the Match Play include former U.S. Amateur champion Bryson DeChambeau, who last year moved into the top 64 the week after the cutoff. He has won four times since. … Woods, Jim Furyk, Phil Mickelson and Lee Westwood are the only players in the field at the inaugural Match Play in 1999.

However, Sungjae Im at No. 59 in the world has a mathematical chance to crack the top 50. … The field features seven major champions, including Davis Love III, Graeme McDowell, David Duval and Zach Johnson. … David Lipsky, an American who plays primarily on the Asian and European tours, received a sponsor's exemption. Lipsky tied for 10th in the World Golf Championship in Mexico City. … Tom Fazio designed the Corales course at Punta Cana in 2010.

Notes: This is the final tournament before the first LPGA Tour major of the season at the ANA Inspiration. … The field includes 20 of the top 25 players in the women's world ranking, and nine of the top 10. The only player missing from the top 10 is Nelly Korda. … Ji made a hole-in-one during the final round on her way to a 67 to win by two over Cristie Kerr and Lizette Salas. … Kerr is the only American winner of the Kia Classic since it began in 2010. … Kerr and Mirim Lee share the tournament scoring record at 20-under 268. … Hee Kyung Seo (2010) is the only past Kia Classic champion who is not playing. … The field features both Solheim Cup captains, Juli Inkster and Catriona Matthew. Inkster will be making her 705th career start on the LPGA Tour. … Lexi Thompson is making only her fourth start of the year. … So Yeon Ryu is the 15th player to go over $10 million in career earnings on the LPGA Tour.

Notes: In the four years the Indian Open has been part of the European Tour schedule, Wallace last year was the first non-Indian champion. … The Indian Open was hurt by the PGA Tour's contracted schedule. A year ago, it was held opposite the Valspar Championship, two weeks before the Match Play. This year it is being played the same week as the World Golf Championship. Wallace, the defending champion, is in Texas for the Match Play. … No one in the field can win and move into the top 50 to earn a Masters berth. … Anirban Lahiri, the 2015 Indian Open champion, is in the field after having played in Florida last week at the Valspar Championship. … The tournament has been part of the European Tour schedule since 2015. It dates to 1964, when Peter Thomson won the inaugural event at Delhi Golf Club.
