Two semifinal duels of Russian Superleague are Zenit Kazan vs Dynamo Moscow and Lokomotiv Belogorie Belgorod vs Lokomotiv Novosibirsk.
All the favorites of quarterfinal duels made their way to semifinal. Kazan was superior to Yaroslavl. Belgorod won three times over Surgut. Novosibirsk did not give any hopes to Odintsovo and claimed three wins. Most interesting duel should be between fourth Fakel and fifth Dynamo. But the things were good only for Dynamo, which will meet in semifinal best Russian team in past few years, Kazan. Second semifinal will be combat of Belgorod vs Novosibirsk.
Both semifinals are open. Kazan won regular championship, Dynamo had a big problems in the beginning of season. Now Dynamo is back in form and team of V. Alekno will not have easy way to final. Belgorod will have advantage of two home games. Team of G. Shipulin did not lose single game in own hall during regular season and quarterfinal. Novosibirsk lost three games at home. Both duels of the semifinal opponents were battles until the last point. Belgorod won in Novosibirsk in tiebreak, also in Belgorod Novosibirsk lost in tiebreak.
