WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley was recently interview by Sky News on a number of topics. During the interview, Foley talked about the comparisons that have been made between Becky Lynch & WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Even before it was made official that The RAW Women’s Title Match would be main-eventing WrestleMania, Foley already predicted that the match should go last and The WWE Universe would react negatively if that didn’t happen. Foley also predicted that the main event of WrestleMania 35 will be an exciting one.
“I see it being an exciting match; Ronda is going out on a limb to create this really dislikable persona and I think it works,” he said.
Foley then said that he is very confident that Becky Lynch is the biggest Superstar in WWE today.
“I believe their time has come. Becky Lynch has succeeded in becoming the biggest name in our business and I think that’s great,” Foley said. “She’s a good friend, she’s a wonderful person and it couldn’t happen to a nicer lass.”
Foley then said that he advised Becky Lynch to be patient and to be ready when she was being pushed into the main event scene.
“I go back to my messages about eight or nine months ago and when she came to me for some advice I told her to be patient and to be ready,” Foley revealed. “Then when she got the opportunity, she ran with it like nobody I’ve ever seen, like ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin.”
