Tuesday night’s episode of SmackDown on the USA Network averaged 2.603 million viewers, down four percent from last week’s total.

The show was eighth for the night in terms of total viewers on cable but did finish first in the important 18-49 demo with a 0.76 rating.

For the second week in a row, and for the sixth time in the last eight weeks, SmackDown was up as compared to the same week from the previous year. The January 10th, 2016 show did 2.533 million viewers.

This continues SmackDown’s strong ratings pattern since the start of AJ Styles’ title reign and the ongoing storyline between Shane McMahon, Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn.

The show managed to retain almost 95 percent of the Raw audience from the night before, the fifth straight week over 90 percent. They usually hover between 85 and 90 percent during the football season.
