WWE continued the Superstar Shakeup last night on Smackdown, and as promised, the roster for the show was definitely altered quite a bit with several new superstars being added to the show. Additionally, some brand new tag teams will start working on Tuesday nights. For instance, it was announced last night that Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson will be competing on the show from now on. Gallows and Anderson’s alliance with Finn Balor has come to an end due to Balor remaining on the Raw roster. However, AJ Styles is still on Smackdown each week, so perhaps Gallows, Anderson, and Styles will be able to reform The Club sooner rather than later on WWE’s blue brand.

Another interesting addition to the tag team division was revealed during last night’s Smackdown show. A promo hyping up the arrival of Sheamus and Cesaro aired during last night’s show. Cesaro and Sheamus, known as The Bar, became a top tag team on Raw and have won the brand’s tag team titles several times. Despite their recent move to Smackdown, Sheamus and Cesaro are still scheduled to compete against Bray Wyatt and “Woken” Matt Hardy for the vacant Raw Tag Team Championships at the Greatest Royal Rumble event next weekend. The Bar will be able to have matches against the likes of The Usos, The New Day, and The Bludgeon Brothers now that they will be working on Smackdown.

The women’s division on the Smackdown brand has also just received a new tag team. The Riott Squad was officially traded from Smackdown to Raw earlier this week, and unsurprisingly, Absolution will now be competing on Smackdown. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville have been cited as two wrestlers with bright futures in the company. The group’s former mentor, Paige, also serves at the General Manager for Smackdown now, so it will be interesting to see what Absolution will be able to accomplish on Tuesday nights. All of these brand new members of the Smackdown roster are expected to start working on the show permanently starting next Tuesday night.
