NJPW Announces WrestleKingdom 12 Is Hot Ticket In Tokyo

New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that advanced tickets for the January 4th megaevent in The Tokyo Dome are selling at 180% of the rate of last year’s big event with over 20,000 seats already being sold. The Tokyo Dome can hold up to 60,00 seats, however in recent years with the stage and ramp set up for the WrestleKingdom events, the number is closer to 35,000 – 40,000 meaning the arena is half full with over a month to go before what is called Japan’s Wrestlemania.
The build-up around the world for the event has begun as the matches announced for the big show will feature the IWGP Title being defended by Kazuchika “The Rainmaker” Okada against the head of Los Igobernables Tetsuya Naito, and another feature match with have “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega of the Bullet Club taking on the challenge of Chris Jericho. Cody (Rhodes) will defend the ROH Title against Kota Ibushi, IWGP Intercontinental Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi defends against “Switchblade” Jay White, and a big Jr, Heavyweight 4 way match is also set for the event. Other matches are already scheduled for the event and more are being made as we get to The Tokyo Dome!
