Following his loss to Brock Lesnar in the co-main event of the landmark UFC 200 event this past weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada, UFC heavyweight contender Mark Hunt is questioning how the crossover WWE and MMA athlete was able to make the UFC heavyweight limit of 265 pounds.
Hunt spoke with Submission Radio immediately after the fight on Saturday night, and for his part, had a question or two about how Lesnar managed to make 265 pounds for the fight. He also spoke about the loss to Lesnar itself, explaining that he had no injuries or any real excuses.
“No, there were no injuries, I just got caught. I couldn’t get out of first gear. He was the bigger man and he caught me and props to him. I just couldn’t I couldn’t get him, man.”
“He is just such a big guy. I just got caught, couldn’t get out of first gear, he’s such a big guy, thought I’d be able to stop his takedowns. But he is quite strong, I don’t know how he can make 265 pounds — it’s all I can say.”
