As it turns out, Sami Zayn really was injured during his “U.S. Open Challenge” match with John Cena on Monday’s RAW in Montreal.
Zayn reportedly injured his shoulder while trying to get the crowd pumped up as he was heading to the ring prior to the actual match.
He ended up working the match anyways, despite the fact that the referee threw up the “X” symbol shortly into the match and called for the trainer to check on him.
Zayn is currently scheduled for an MRI tomorrow.
