Tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw saw the “biggest tag team turmoil match in WWE history”, which essentially ended up being a gauntlet match, and not the old Fatal 4-Way concept for the gimmick.

The wild bout saw the War Raiders score a quick victory over The B-Team, before advancing to face Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows of The O.C. The two teams of heavyweight bruisers refused to play by the rules and obey the commands of the referee, leading to a double disqualification that saw both teams eliminated.

Enter the makeshift duo of Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, who were seemingly thrown together to complete the 8-man gauntlet, but the unlikely allies actually defeated the Lucha House Party to advance. And then they defeated Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins to advance again… Aaaaand then they shocked everyone by putting down The Revival and Heavy Machinery, winning four consecutive matches to win the entire thing.

Roode and Ziggler will now advance to the WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view on September 15 to challenge Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman for the Raw Tag Team Championships.
