This week’s episode of WWE Raw began with the return of Stephanie McMahon, as expected, accompanied by both Triple H and Vince McMahon. The entire WWE roster including superstars from both Raw and Smackdown Live were brought to the stage as the “King of Kings” gave a long speech about the hard work and dedication of every single Superstar, including the men and women in NXT and the brand new NXT UK brand.

He then turned things over to Stephanie, who specifically addressed the women’s roster praising the fans for starting the Women’s Revolution with their three-day Twitter trend that started a movement years ago, that “turned 30-second matches into main events” and allowed “Divas to become the Superstars they were born to be”.

She then officially announced that on Sunday, October 28th at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York, the first ever all-women’s pay-per-view will take place under the name WWE Evolution.

We can also officially confirm that WWE Evolution will see the Raw Women’s Championship, Smackdown Women’s Championship, and the NXT Women’s Championship all defended on the same card, as well as the finals of the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament.

Over 50 WOMEN will be a part of @WWE‘s first-ever ALL-WOMEN pay-per-view event #WWEEvolution, emanating from @NYCBLive on Sunday, October 28! https://t.co/f3Uod2X8Lm
