Just hours before tonight’s NXT Takeover New Orleans, WWE SmackDown Live GM, Daniel Bryan made an appearance at WWE Axxess and he made a very interesting statement regarding one NXT superstar.
Bryan was taking part in a Q&A and had been asked which NXT superstar he would like to see on the main roster and his answer was none other than, Johnny Gargano. Bryan stated that he actually hopes Gargano loses tonight, as he can then steal him.
Of course, if Gargano loses against Tomaso Ciampa in tonight’s unsanctioned match, his WWE NXT career will be over, which would open up the door for a main roster move.

Ciampa Reacts To Bryan’s Statement
Gargano’s opponent and former tag team partner, Tomaso Ciampa was quick to react to Daniel Bryan’s news, claiming that he will make it happen after tonight.
However, the ‘Psycho Killer’ did add that once he is finished with him, Gargano won’t be wrestling anywhere and he even took the time to take a shot at Bryan. Ciampa told him to keep his fantasies to himself, or he will end his career, again.
Contractually, I can make that happen at the conclusion of this evening.
However, after tonight Johnny Gargano will not be wrestling anywhere, period.
