As seen on WWE Smackdown this week, General Manager Daniel Bryan made his much-anticipated return to the show, and brought with him the news that he has been medically cleared by WWE to return to in-ring competition.
According to ShowBuzz Daily, this week’s WWE Smackdown averaged 2.888 million viewers, which is not only up from last week’s 2.771 million viewership average, but is also the biggest audience the show has garnered so far in 2018.

This week’s WWE Smackdown also featured Bryan ‘firing’ Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura vs Rusev, and a face-to-face meeting between WrestleMania 34 opponents Jinder Mahal, Randy Orton and Bobby Roode.
This week’s WWE Smackdown ranked #5 in overall cable TV viewership for the night.
